This is a wonderful event with about 45 classic boats on display, lots of classic cars up on the plaza and all for free all Father’s Day weekend at the Bell Street Marina (June 18 and 19) – it is a great place to bring your Dad or husband too!
And an opportunity to volunteer as docent on MV Olympus…
Diane VanDerbeek’s yacht, MV Olympus will be on display for the Classic Yacht Association Bell Street Rendezvous. The show hours are 10-6 Saturday and 10-5 Sunday. Diane says she could really use a few “docents” to help with the tours.
“It is a fun easy job. You have to stand next to the ladder and be sure that only one person at a time is on the ladder. Another person has to stand in the fantail and make sure that the crowd keeps moving through. I really need people for Saturday because I have to leave for awhile to go to a retirement party for my cousin. So if anyone is available have them come down. All they have to do is go to the website: http://www.yachtolympus.com and click history and watch the movie. Then they will be an expert on the yacht and they will be a fabulous docent. If some of the women could volunteer for about 3 hours each I would be so truly appreciative.”

Let her know you learned about it through NWWB. Thanks in advance to all who might enjoy helping her out.
