5th Annual Washington Boating Alliance Leadership Summit

For those of you interested in learning more about what is happening in the regional maritime community, this is the event for you. The event is free and held during the Seattle Boat Show. If you attend you get free entrance to the show that day. Vivian and her husband attended last year and found it informative and interesting.

9:40am: Keynote Steve Sewell, Director of Maritime, Washington State Department of Commerce

10:10am: 20 min Break/Networking

10:30am: Center for Wooden Boats- Quick introduction, video, questions

10:40am: Peter Schrappen, Northwest Marine Trade Association- Status of Recreational Boating Industry

10:55am: Wade Alonzo, Parks and Recreation Commission (Parks) update (boating safety, boating card, accidents, etc.)

11:10am: Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) update (app update, new grant funding year)

11:25am: Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) Update (John Hansen, new boating structures)

11:40am: Department of Natural Resources (DNR) update (DVRP, projects)

11:50am: “Along the water’s edge” video

12pm: Wrap up, thanks, adjourn
