NWWB Meeting Mon. Oct.19th One Year Sabbatical to Sail the South Pacific

Hi Gals,

Letting you know it’s really important that you RSVP to Vivian at nwwbviv@gmail.com right away if you’d like to attend this program. We are already in the mid 20’s and we have to cut attendance at 35 for the reason of space.

You won’t want to miss this program, it’s one of those rare opportunities to which our group is privileged because of the special caliber of women in our midst engaged in the amazing adventures that boating offers.

Member Karen Wong has just returned from a year-long bluewater adventure with her husband, Jim and 8-year old daughter, Jacintha. Onboard Apropos, their 43 foot Hans Christian Cutter/Ketch, they spent time in Mexico then made the 23-day crossing from Puerto Vallarta to the Marqueses and sailed the South Pacific. They blogged extensively (http://www.svapropos.com/blog) with impressive pictures and tales of adventures on the water and throughout the islands. Karen say’s it changed her. We look forward to hearing her tales, what it’s really like out there, how the experience was for her young daughter and more. Here’s a chance to ask what you’d really like to know about such an adventure.

Karen just started back to work after taking a year sabbatical for the trip from her job as a Anesthesiologist at Children’s Hospital.

Meeting Date: Monday, October 19th, 2015
Time: 7:00pm – till 9:00 pm or so

One Response to NWWB Meeting Mon. Oct.19th One Year Sabbatical to Sail the South Pacific

  1. Carol says:

Thanks for a great program last night! It was my first visit to NWWB but won’t be my last. I concluded that a trip to French Polynesia and thereabouts is definitely a destination goal! It was a pleasure to see the presentation and meet the women around me. I’ll definitely be signing up for working the Boat Show in ’16.
