Thank You From Vivian and Marilyn

When Vivian and I stepped up to coordinate Northwest Women in Boating we had a guiding principle, “as long as it’s fun, we’ll do it”. This year’s experience with all you gals who stepped forward to volunteer at the Seattle Boat Show, who attended and presented at our panel discussion and who helped us get the word out, will keep us around a while. It was fun! And, we hope you had as much fun as we did.

We want NWWB to provide opportunities for learning and growing as boaters. We want it to be a venue where women of like minds can find each other. We want it to be a place that can help get the word out about opportunities for women who boat. We want it to be a place of support for women evolving as boaters. We want it to be a place of fun with no pretense. And, we want it to be other things you may want it to be, let us know your thoughts.

We are looking forward to an interesting year of meetings, possibly on-site learning experiences with NOAA and hopefully other events such as the potluck this year onboard MV Lotus.

We enjoy each other’s company we’re sticking to our guiding principle, “as long as it’s fun, we’ll do it”. It’s worked well, so give it some thought regarding the choices you’re making for your own life, as long as it’s fun….do it!

And, thank you all, once again, for helping us do it.
