Remember we need you to volunteer for the Knot A Boat booth at the Seattle Boat Show. If you know you will be, this meeting is an important one. You should have received the spreadsheet and notice about signing up by now, if not, please contact us at email@example.com. For volunteering or for requesting a spread sheet try to use the subject line: Volunteering at Boat Show.
The January meeting of NWWB will be a fun and relaxed gathering to prepare for the Knot A Boat booth at the boat show if you are volunteering or, if you’re aren’t, it’s an opportunity to learn about our Knot A Boat project and spiff up your knot tying skills in a fun atmosphere. It’s all about ‘hands on” and we’ll have the line there for practice.
This meeting will also provide an opportunity to chat with you about the future of NWWB. We would like a chance to chat about ideas or desires you may have. We would love to see a group of you form an informal committee to brainstorm and set up our speaker schedule for 2017. We’ve had fun doing it and it hasn’t taken much work. We need help, though, to expand our ideas for presenters or programs. We know that there is a lot of creativity among you. It would be a fun way to help provide inspiration and skills to the gals of our organization. Providing an atmosphere of inspiration and skill building for women has been important to us and, we feel, this will be especially important given the denigration many women are feeling in the current political atmosphere.
It’s an important meeting for those of you volunteering to pick up your boat show tickets. Try hard to make the meeting. If you really can’t, but will be volunteering, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Vivian Strolis, 13002 NE 101st Place, Kirkland, WA 98033 and we’ll send back the tickets. You will need one to get into the show and a second one to use however.
Meeting Date and Time: Monday January 16 7 pm to 9 pm. (Hors d oeuvres, snacks, wine, etc. are welcomed but not required. We enjoy socializing after the presentation.)
Location: 1900 N Northlake Way, #233 Seattle, WA 98103. We meet in the conference room of the Northwest Marine Trade Association. (Link to more detailed information.)
