August 21st NWWB Meeting: A Social Evening at Harbour Village Marina – Plus, Upcoming Program List

Hi Gals,

(at the bottom of this post are three upcoming programs and dates, so you can get them on your calendars)

It’s August and the weather has been great so we are having an informal ‘relax and chat’ event at Vivian Strolis’ marina at the top of Lake Washington. (The picture above was our last social evening there). Many enjoy this group for the opportunity to connect with and get to know other like-minded women.

…We all have boating issues and conundrums, other women boaters may have answers.

…We have boating tales to tell that other women who boat will find interesting.

…We have advice to share to benefit this group.

If you follow us but haven’t made a meeting, this is a fun way to get to know some great gals.

This evening will give us more of an opportunity to introduce ourselves and our boating backgrounds or plans for boating futures. So, bring a tale to tell or questions to ask or advice to offer. It will be fun to hear from everyone. Come out to relax and chat.

Vivian will bring line and instructions if you’d like to do some knot tying. (not that I’ve used it, but I loved learning to tie a flying bowline while working Knot-A-Boat at the boat show and, besides the useful knots, if Pat Park’s there she has a trick knot that’s a kick.)

Please bring a savory or sweet snack/hors d oeuvre or wine/other beverage to share.  We will have glasses, plates, flatwear. and napkins.

Date and time: Monday, August 21st 7pm

Bring a savory or sweet snack, hors d oeuvre or something to drink to share.

Location address:

Harbour Village Marina
6155 NE 175th St,
Kenmore, WA 98028

Parking information:

Parking is available at the Marina – you may park in the lot that says “No Marina Parking”, but not next to the office building.  You may also park in the marina parking lot in the back where the boat trailers are.  Both of those options should offer enough parking, but there is also parking out on the street.
