ATTENTION: KNOT-A-BOAT volunteers still needed, it’s our way of giving back, PLUS, doing a shift is a whole lot of fun and you get an extra ticket. Please reach out to Vivian and ask for the schedule email firstname.lastname@example.org subject line KNOT-A-BOAT Volunteering…Thank you in advance!
We look forward to seeing you on Monday the 15th for a relaxed evening getting up to speed on some basic knots. We will gather to practice knot tying. Vivian will have stations set up allowing for a fun atmosphere in which to familiarize yourselves with knots you may not often use. Hey, unless you’re a hardy racing sailor, it’s winter, most of us are rusty! Those of you who will be volunteering for KNOT-A-BOAT at the Seattle Boat Show will find this very helpful. And, important…KNOT-A-BOAT volunteers…Vivian will have your tickets to give you so we hope you can make it.
Pat Park has a trick knot that we hope she’ll teach; it’s fun to share with folks. Bring any fun knot tying ideas you may have (Hey, got any knot jokes?). If you’re volunteering you’ll find that some folks will come by and actually teach you some knots. Last year I got quite good at a Flying Bowline that I learned from a couple of the Boat Show attendees. They had fun teaching it. There are many enjoyable moments like that when you volunteer.
