The Pacific Northwest Fleet of the Classic Yacht Association is pleased to announce the 22nd Annual Classic Weekend to be held at Bell Harbor Marina in downtown Seattle on the weekend of June 16-17, 2018.
Featuring up to 50 beautiful classic boats, this weekend is a wonderful opportunity for the public to come down to the marina at 2203 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98121 and see these beautiful boats. Admission is FREE, and many of the boats will be open for public tours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This year’s marquee class of boats is boats built by the Blanchard Boat Works. This historic Seattle boat building company was in business from 1905 to 1969 in several locations and was run by two generations of the Blanchard Family. During this time, over 2,000 power and sail boats were constructed for commercial and pleasure use.
At Bell Harbor Marina this year, visitors will be able to see the 1926 100’ motor yacht “Malibu”, the 1922 72’ sailing yacht “Red Jacket” and the 1926 36’ cruiser “Faun” which are all fabulous examples of Blanchard Boat Works yachts, along with numerous other classic yachts.
The public will have a chance to vote on the “People’s Choice” Award for the public’s favorite classic yacht.
