When I said in the last post “See Somthing Say Something” I was thinking say something to the people involved, we certainly don’t need to bother authorities in a lot of personal situations. Just wanted to clarify.
Good Morning Gals,
I took my cup of coffee out on this glorious morning and watched the panoply of activity passing by on Lake Union. In the span of a cup of coffee, I saw three paddle boarders, 1 kayaker and three children under 10 onboard small powerboats all without lifejackets on. I know I’m “preaching to the choir” but it occurred to me, when you see potential danger on the water, say something to the people involved. (The irony was, all the dogs I saw were wearing lifejackets.)
AND A NOTE REGARDING SAFETY ONBOARD. Tomorrow, Monday the 18th, 7 pm, Northwest Women in Boating is hosting Linda Lewis who will be teaching about the Lifesling, specifically rigging it for safe and effective use on powerboats. Become knowledgeable if not for you, to help boating friends. Many who own Lifeslings don’t really know how to use them effectively and you’re always in crisis mode when you need to do that. Here is a link to meeting information and directions.
