NWWB Monday, May 20th Meeting Info – Breakdowns on the Water

The weather’s turning cooler, tonight will be a good opportunity to come out, socialize with other like-minded gals and learn about preparedness on the water. We hope to see you there.

Capt. Doug Benjamin, owner of Tow Boat Seattle, will be presenting on BREAKDOWNS ON THE WATER! Doug is looking forward to educating you about these subjects and more:

What causes breakdowns

Things to do if your boat breaks down

Safety things to keep in mind

How to deal with towing services

Doug and Tow Boat Seattle

Doug has boated from his childhood on the Columbia. He has managed a marina and operated a mobile pump out. He owns a 36’ Grand Banks and a 22’ Sea Ray. Seeing the need for more towing services in the area, he got his Captain’s license and opened Tow Boat Seattle in 2017. They operate primarily in Lake Washington, Lake Union and Central Puget Sound areas and offer various vessel assist services such as distressed vessel towing, scheduled tow, fuel delivery, jump starts, soft ungrounding and more. A creative and safety minded guy, Doug added “pre BUI” services recently. If you have partied a bit much, you can call him and for a reduced fee they will tow your boat back home and for a very reduced fee they will captain your boat home.

Date and Time: Monday, May 20th 7pm to 9pm.

Location: 1900 N. Northlake Way in the Northwest Marine Trade Association conference room. The offices are across the courtyard in back of Fisheries Supply, on the second floor.
