NWWB Brainstorming Resources for Women Who Boat

This is a work in progress…if anyone sees any needed changes or additions please jump in and let us know. Thanks, Vivian and Marilyn

And special thanks to Anne Alberg and Margaret Pommert for helping us write down and begin organizing all of your great ideas.

Northwest Women in Boating – Monday, February 16, 2015

These ideas and resources emerged from a group discussion involving members of Northwest Women in Boating:  The event was titled:

Becoming a Better Resource For Women Who Want Learn To Boat or Buy A Boat

NWWB Blog www.nwwb.wordpress.com

Keep NWWB as it is…

  • Vivian manages email list / Marilyn manages the Blog
  • No dues/No board members
  • Monthly meetings are limited by size of the room
  • Create opportunities for members to take their passion for the boating world and run with their ideas

Blog ideas – add member profiles, spotlight member stories to inspire women, promote member’s books, post current crew opportunities

Target:  Women interested in what is happening in the PNW boating community, including those who have never been out on the water, those that used to be active and those currently involved.

Boating offers a character building experience beyond just having fun on the water.

Provide inspiration to empower women to believe they too can do it
